Hi Dr. Dickson I have a client that’s inquiring about getting microblading done but she is breast-feeding still her baby is 19 months old. What are your recommendations? Typically I don’t do permanent make up on someone that’s breast-feeding but she’s also wanting to know the reason why
Thank you
Have a blessed day!

Hi Tonya,
The reason is simple: Babies can sue until they’re 21. And if the mother or baby gets HIV, they can blame you and the needles and you can’t prove it wasn’t your fault.
No needles for cosmetic procedure until AFTER baby poo is weaned. Make sense?
Aloha,

….also a mothers healing receptors and skin can vary when she is nursing. A mother may be lacking iron and other healing factors that help heal and absorb that pigment. Its really just a risk all around and something that should not be taken lightly as you said, anyone can sue for anything, but bringing an innocent child into the mix is just another reason to avoid the procedure all together.
